No offense to him...

...but ignore CigarJacketMan. Auto-tune can be used aesthetically, not as a way to cover up for lack of singing ability, which he doesn't seem to understand (among many others that think this way).

Anyway, interesting take on the song. Still, I don't think electro was the proper genre. Try happy hardcore/bouncy techno out and see what happens. It leaves much more room for heavy instrumentation and, if done properly, can be anthemic. Listen to the likes of Scott Brown, Hixxy, and Brisk and Ham for the vibe that I'm looking for. If you like it, go for it and send me a message when out. If not, keep making music anyway.

4/5

AMP responds:

I was originally going to make this song my normal Dance/Hard Dance type song but I wanted to try to do something different,

Thank you for your intelligent review :D

Epic scenario....

Daft Punk notice Deadmau5 and Kaskade across the dance floor. They slowly walk toward each other in the Old Western fashion. And right as the adrenaline hits, they suddenly begin dancing in unison.

Yeah. It's kinda like that. Somewhat repetitive, but a club banger nonetheless. The juiciest of the new school with characteristics of the old.

Chamon responds:

Awesome, I like your description :D
But yes, indeed it is a club banger.

A complaint.

Your composition isn't bad in any form or fashion. However, sometimes I feel as if I'm trying to surf in a sound hurricane as opposed to a balanced wave. Get my drift? (no pun intended)

4/5. Keep making music.

SHADOWFOX2 responds:

No, I can't say I do catch your drift, however I am reminded of the game Audiosurf, where you surf your audio.
Not sure what your idea of a balanced wave is either...sorta sounds boring
Either way, thanks for your opinion :]

My only issue...

...is the kick. It's too heavy and occasionally causes unwanted distortion. Find the right balance and the song will be ten times better.

3/5. Keep making music.

IceMasterDlux responds:

I do partially agree. I can't change anything about the song now, because of some complications. But you know, mastering isn't easy, haha! You want to get a great powerful kick, but then you get some distortion, so you try to lower other stuff and blah blah blah. So yeah, I do agree, but I did focus on that a LOT, because I knew I wouldn't be able to change anything when I was done. But, in the end, I just need more practice! Thanks a lot for the review man. God bless!

Not terrible by any stretch of the imagination...

...but this fast-paced house motif is getting repetitive.

You really seem like a funk/neo-disco kind of guy. Try putting some songs together with 110-125 being your BPM center.

durn responds:

Or I could try doing whatever feels right for the song. :p I like the tempo range of 125-136, it's a personal preference. If I stuck to 110-125 all I'd be doing is making funk and disco. *shrug* Shake n' bake.

Good concept, good composition...

...but this choice of instruments and drum setup just feels...obnoxious, especially the pluck. I don't know how to describe it. Consider giving it a more "traditional" Eurodance motif. Dare I say...Basshunter-like? I hate to use that comparison, but I can't think of anything else.

3/5. Keep making music.

bossler13 responds:

i might do that. thanks for the review!

So, if this is your 2nd best...

...what do you consider to be your second best? I'm interested.

D-Chain responds:

Well, its already submitted on NG.
Keep looking

Wow.

Who would've thought that one would get most of Deadmau5's house/electro spectrum in one song? I actually laughed a bit at the intro because of how much it sounded like Orca.

5'd, downloaded, thrown into my setlist.

MSXOmega responds:

Wow, thanks! To be honest, I've never heard Orca. I'll go check it out right now. Thanks for the review!

Beast.

I use that word very rarely, but this entry deserves it. I love how nonchalant the conversation is.

5/5, my friend.

AudioVision responds:

Thanks for the 5 and the review! I appreciate it! Glad you liked it :)

Well done...

...but, if you don't mind me saying, the mastering on this song needs a bit of work, even for a dirty electro track. It sounds more like a mud of sound than a clear stream.

4/5. Keep making music.

MmmCake responds:

word. thanks, man! :D

Yeah. I'm an EDM nerd surrounded by rock and country music. Don't ask how it happened. I'm slow to produce tracks as it is, and college isn't helping. So if you enjoy my work, please be patient.
